Pierluigi Marconi developed the hub-centre design in 1982 as a design thesis (hence the name, TESI is Italian for Thesis). The design was based on the Difazio hub-centre assembly, which uses a floating axle riding through a king pin inside an oversized front hub. The steering is connected to the hub via connecting rods, the suspension is absorbed by a rocker arm which connects to a shock absorber located at the rear of the motorcycle the two functions (steering and front suspension) are completely independent in terms of structure.
This method is great for weight-centralisation, neat production and because the two systems are independent it allows the rider to brake later with the ability to trail the front brake operation into a turn.
The TESI H2 is produced with the utmost attention to detail using advanced componentry, lightweight machined aluminium billet and carbon fiber together with a top-class electronics suite.
